OUR HISTORY
The word ‘caber’ is a beam or rafter, and the ridge beam in a tradtiional Scottish house used a ‘caber’ to support the roof rafters and smaller caber beams to hold down the roof. With our experience in sustainable and ethical architecture and our connection to our Scottish heritage and the natural world, the name Caber House reflects both tradition and the simplicity of construction.
Every project we manage, every client we work for, and every supplier we work with is treated with the same respect and consideration for our heritage and landscape, which is why we are market leaders in providing exceptional self-build sustainable, environmentally-friendly homes to the exacting Passivhaus standards.
